They got themselves a good run stopper.

Good depth player, never worth the #1 pick though.

And our chances at a compensatory pick get better.

Ayers and Moreno in the same off season. Say what you want but the Elway regime didn't think too mach for the first round of that draft. Add in Tebow and only DT is left of the 4 1st McD took......

    Thanks MasterShake!!!

    Signed a fifth guy yesterday...
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

The only team in the last six years to sign five free agents or more and get compensatory picks was Indianapolis in 2012 and they got Mr. Irrelevant out of the deal.

I'm just saying that because of the number of free agents Denver is signing, it's just highly unlikely.

I just don't know what you're basing that on at this point other than stubbornness. If it's supposedly net gain vs. net loss then I don't see how we couldn't get a pick.

Champ and Mike Adams will probably both find homes elsewhere.

Out - Decker, DRC, Beadles, Moreno, Woodyard, Phillips, Holliday, Ayers [ Bailey, Adams]
In - Talib, Ware, Ward, Sanders, Montgomery

Bailey and Holliday were cut, right? So we've established that they don't count. We're not sure about Ware. We think he doesn't count against Dallas, we're not sure if he counts or not to Denver's list. And then history. Look at the compensatory picks since 2010, they are all searchable on NFL.com. If you sign five guys (so in other words, if Ware counts) it's highly unlikely Denver would get a pick, especially the quality of free agent signing Talib, Ware and Ward are. Like I said, Indy signed a bunch of nobodies and lost Pierre Garçon and a few other starters (Manning didn't count against them, but because Denver didn't get a comp pick that year, we're not sure if he counted or not for Denver), and they got Mr. Irrelevant. It just seems highly unlikely to me.

Good point about Bailey and Holliday.

It seemed highly unlikely to me during the first week... But it just seems like we've let a lot of solid free agents walk. I really have no idea at the end of the day. It feels a lot closer to 50/50 than "highly unlikely" to me.

Ayers = depth/decent. Not solid, not great, not awesome. Definitely not worth the 1st round pick (piggy backing on North already said). So long, thanks for coming.

Why do you always have to be such a debbie-downer, know-it-all, buzzkill?
