    Default Hello Broncos Country!

    THIS OFFSEASON IS LONG!

It is even worse for me as i am from the UK - we don't have the same off season coverage, plus i don't have many friends how follow NFL, so that means that my wife gets all the updates (although she was interested in Decker as she found him pleasing to look at!)

Anyway, glad i have found this forum, looking forward to hearing all your points of view.

I have been a broncos fan since the 80's, my dad enjoyed the sport and he liked the colour of Denvers jersey (when i was 6, this sounded like a good reason to support a team, having Elway also helped!) - but what ever the reasons i got hooked and have been a Bronco ever since!

    Take Care

Welcome to the forums. The offseason is long and we tend to get in long drawn out arguments over pointless stuff. Enjoy.

BTW who is your Premier League team.

When people in Enlgand crack a joke, they dont saying "Just kidding", they say "I was just taking the piss"..Isnt that true dave? Honest, one time a girl came to colorado to visit me from england. We were on an elevator full of people and she said a funny and it was followed by "I was just taking the piss" ..I was standing there thinking OMG this chick must be crazy...

    hahaha,

First of all, the sport is growing in popularity, but it is still not mainstream. I have tickets for all 3 games in London this year and each game will sell out. Is it popular enough to have a franchise - probably not at the minute. Do many of the fans understand all the rules, definitely not, but it is changing with Jeff Reinbold doing a great job on our sports channel breaking down the game.

(Not sure this was a serious question but) Yorkshire puddings are a savoury dish, they are made of egg, milk and flour. They were originally designed for poor people to fill them up before they were served their small amount of meat. Now, it is an essential part of every sunday dinner all across the country!

As for "taking the piss" that is a very common way of informing people that you are only joking. But Piss is still classed as a what you would call a "cuss" word.

We have been having great at length discussions about yorkshire pudding lately (we are a weird bunch) - The resident Patriots fan who thinks he is better than everyone else thinks he makes the best yorkshire pudding this side of the Atlantic

I was going to take a cooking class to learn to make it but caught a terrible cold and didnt want to infect everyone

We are all very intrigued by it

They are really not all that impressive!!!

If i buy them, i just buy them pre-made and frozen, they cost about 3 dollars for a pack of 12.

Yes, we have heard about it from a French-Canadian elitest, but I wanted to hear from a real Brit.
