I guess if I have to choose between Gabbert, Bridgewater, Bortles and Manziel I'd take Bortles, Bridgewater or Gabbert.

You must really be a Manziel hater if you think he is worse than Gabbert. The Jaguars need a quarterback because they know Gabbert sucks.

I don't think pro days are much use from an evaluating talent perspective - that should be done over the course or 2/3 yrs worth of college tape.

But, i think they are essential for keeping the off season interesting - gives us something to talk about!

Actually they are very useful for teams looking at all of their options like the Texans. For Michael Sam, Missouri's Pro Day could make the difference between being a fifth round pick and not getting drafted.

surely that is just back to where he should be based on his game tape - he only dropped due to a poor showing at the combine?

The combine numbers are important because he is a tweener and may be an OLB in a 3-4 defense. Sure, game tape is the most important thing, but for a guy who is too short to play DE the Pro Day helps a lot. How can you judge him as an OLB when all videos show him playing at LDE? Michael Sam's Pro Day made up for his awful combine numbers. It could have helped teams decide which position he is a better fit for. So Missouri's Pro Day may end up being a deal-breaker for Michael Sam.

I didn't say he was worse than Gabbert, anyone who says they know is full of shit. Gabbert has far better skill and look where that's got him.

I have no interest in Manziel, he's short and an attention whore. Jim McMahon was only amusing because he played for another team, same with Manziel, let some other team figure it out.
