Default MR NT 2014 Post initial FA Mock Draft

I honestly think best player available. We have bad depth is a lot of positions but DT. With Ware, Talib and Ward positions of need are less likely those are only instant starters we sign in FA anyone else is depth.

1st round Brandon Cooks, WR Oregon State
I think this dude rocked combine and is a speed guy. I think he would be a great number 2 to DT. A burner for the deep routes with welker inside and DT doing it all. He is also a return guy that is very much needed. WR I think needs depth and rather have a useful player then a wasted spot of Holliday who can only return.

    Alt pick David Yankey OG

2nd round Chris Borland ILB Wisconsin
He has hood size and incredible instincts. I think mosley will drop just not all the way to us most likely letting g Borland slide as well he is graded at 2-3 round so late 2nd is possible. He is not elite athlete but passionate and high motor.

    Alt pick Gabe Jackson OG

    3rd Round Cyril Richardson
He is a road grader but slipped at combine so we could get him in late third. Would not get OG more than once though. Depth is issue to me

    Alt pick Bruce Ellington WR

4th round Bryan Stark C Florida State
Guy had a good year and add depth behind Manny.

    Alt pick Dion Bailey FS

5th Round Max Bullough ILB Michigan State
Dude was heart of Michigan State defense in middle. He slipped because of issue off field that got him suspended and his stock has taken a hut because he wont talk about it. But dude is good and was all American. He is my sleeper pick. Projected 6th round but I think will go sooner.

    Alt pick Ahmad Dixon SS

6th Round Taylor Hart DE Oregon
Productive guy with motor for Oregon.

    Alt pick Aaron Colvin CB

7th round Silas Red RB USE/Penn State
He was better at PSU before he transferred to USC.

    Have fun with this one

Brandon cooks had pro day and tore it up running g routes. Bengals scout is having him field kick offs and punts.Gil Brandt compared Cooks to Welker but faster.

Homer pick but I picked WR first since we have welker for another year then DT wil have big contract. Bubba is ok.

If you're gonna draft a LB that plays 33% of the time I don't think the 2nd round is the place to do it.

I think he can be a 3 down. You do not need insane speed to be 3 down. Think he can not play coverage?

Agreed. With the Sanders signing, we are set there now. The only real holes we have left are OG, MLB, CB, and maybe S.

Sanders signed changes that. Cooks was a fit for 2 needs. Wr and KR/PR.
Alt pick it is Yankey lol

Depth issues with CB and S not holes. Talib and harris are set Webster should be improved this year. He showed a lot of potential. Do not forget Omar Bolden was drafted as a CB. I would not mind anothersolid one to push as starter but with talib now I am not worried.

Carter returning and nacho we have decent depth. Nacho should be better look at how much he improved before last season.

I'm still pretty worried about our secondary depth. I think Carter is horrible and Nacho really regressed last year as well. I would feel very uneasy if any of our big starters in the secondary went down.

Nacho regressed after surgery and was a first year starter. Our schedule a was easier in beginning as well

These both seem like excuses to me. Good players have to be able to play well against better teams and respond well after injury. I'm not saying Nacho can't do that in the future, but I won't let those excuses work as a pass for his poor play last season.

Now having said all this, he was an undrafted guy who shouldn't have even made it this far in the first place, so I do commend him for that. But regardless, now that he is in the show he has to prove himself, and he has a long way to go do to that.

I like it. I like Borland a lot. One of maybe two or three ILbs I like.

I didn't see much in Mosleys game to make time think he'd be very good for us. Or even better than woody.

Nice draft. Would be happy with it.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
