Default Danny Amendola, New England Patriots parting ways?

As the New England Patriots embarked on free agency one year ago, the front office placed a higher value on Danny Amendola than Julian Edelman.

This time around, the roles appear to have reversed.

NFL teams have told Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report that Amendola's name "has been floated in trade talks."

The report is especially noteworthy because The Boston Globe previously had suggested Amendola's roster spot is in jeopardy. If he is designated a post-June 1 cut, it would allow the Patriots to use the cap savings for a new Edelman contract.

Swapping Welker out for Amendola really worked out well for them!

It's hardly past tense Jerk face. The contract Amendola signed is basically a 2 yr contract w/ consecutive years if he performs. If NE can't trade him I highly doubt they release him

The story has yet to be written. Jerk face.

Slim WTE thinks the moon is made of swiss cheese. It's not a good idea to take him at his word.

The crappy weather in beantown is starting to affect your psyche. Lets not pretend Amendola is as valuable as Welker. Lets not look anymore silly than necessary.

They're clearing out space to make room for Decker.
