Flipping through the channels last night, and found that Season 5 Part 2 started 17 episodes ago. We went to Amazon Prime to catch up, so I guess binge watching Vikings this weekend.

Missy told me this morning that Vikings will be canceled after this season. Sucks but i understand also as really the show was at its best when Ragnar was a part of it but still would have liked to see where they would have taken it as i really like the character of Bjorn.

I should note that there is a season 6 which they are wrapping up so we do have one more season but apparently the show will be canceled. But they also hinted to a possible spinoff so we shall see what happens.

I love this show and the news of cancelation bums me out.

We binged last night, and watched until the 17th episode. I'm still trying to figure out why Floki, and those folks, are torturing themselves living in Iceland. I get he thinks he saw the gods, but they sure are hating life.

Yea, that whole scenario is whack. I havent watched last nights episode yet but last i saw they were on their way back to get the banished family whom i would have left to die. That dude had been plotting against Floki the whole time they were there. Fortunately Floki's story is getting lost in all the other stuff with Ragnar's sons and i think that might be some of the reason why the series is coming to an end. Doesnt seem to have any real direction right now. I dont know if you checked it out yet or not but on Netflix there is a series (3 seasons) called The Last Kingdom which has some of the characters from Vikings it but focuses more on King Albert and another Viking named Uhtred. Its pretty good though and worth the watch if you have Netflix.

I think the Floki thing is just a historical nod to the real Floki - not sure it has any other real purpose or that it adds anything to the show of value

Thanks! I'll have to check it out. You'll be surprised in 17.

I am trying to find shows to curb my Game of Thrones need. Watched it all at least 3x. Impatiently waiting for the final season.

I’ve known about Vikings. Watched it years ago and wasn’t interested. Figured I’d give it another try. Needless to say I’m still bored with it. Please tell me this show gets better after season 1. I don’t get the hype at all. It has a very B rated vibe to it.
