I absolutely love watching Andrew McCutchen play baseball, the only problem is that the only time I get to watch him is when he's playing against my beloved Rockies and killing us in any number of ways.

Freaking dude is one of my all time favorite non-Rockies players. Everything he does looks effortless even the plays that only a handful of people on the planet can make. Amazing player.

If you play that stupid shift and the batter bunts or slaps ones the other way, it's not the wrong way to play baseball.

The shift works to a defensive benefit more often than not. (see: Chris Davis 2014)

I know he's only hitting .229, but it's something like .300 in the last month. Maybe he's not as good as 2012, but he's not as bad as this year, either.
