Over the next few days leading into the Super Bowl we will be taking a closer look at each position for both the Broncos and the Seahawks. Today to start off we will be taking a look at the quarterbacks and running backs for the two Super Bowl teams.

QUARTERBACKS

Broncos - Peyton Manning

This season Peyton Manning set the record for most passing yards in a season (5,477) and most passing touchdowns in a season (55). He had the best season for a quarterback in the history of the NFL. So far, to date, Manning has 6,107 yards, 59 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, a completion percentage of 68.7, a quarterback rating of 114.3, and has only been sacked 18 times. If you look at his number over the past month Manning has been playing at the top of his game. Over the past four games Manning has thrown for 1,296 yards, 12 touchdowns, only one interception, been sacked only once, and has a quarterback rating of 117.7.

Seahawks - Russell Wilson

Wilson had a good season to start, but over the last six weeks has struggled a little bit. But due to the success of the running game, and the defense he has been able to do enough to win the games. This season, including the playoffs, Wilson has thrown for 3,675 yards, 27 touchdowns, nine interceptions, a completion percentage of 62.7, been sacked 51 times, and a quarterback rating of 100. However, over the last six games his numbers have been mediocre. He has thrown for 598 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, been sacked 15 times, a completion percentage of 54.9, and a quarterback rating of 80.9.

Advantage: Peyton Manning, Broncos, and it’s not even debatable.
