Thread: Darren Sharper arrested in L.A.

Former NFL star defensive back Darren Sharper has been arrested on suspicion of rape and is being investigated in connection with three separate sexual assaults.

Sharper was arrested and booked Friday and released on $200,000 bail just before midnight, according to the LAPD. He faces a Feb. 14 court appearance.

LAPD says it is investigating Sharper in connection with two sexual assaults that occurred in the West Los Angeles area, one in October and another earlier this month.

New Orleans Police Department spokeswoman Remi Braden said Saturday in a statement that NOPD is also investigating an allegation of sexual assault filed against Sharper on Sept. 24.

A five-time Pro Bowler, Sharper has worked as an analyst for the NFL Network since retiring in 2010.

The NFL Network announced in a statement that Sharper has been suspended without pay, effective immediately.

LOS ANGELES -- Former NFL safety Darren Sharper has been charged in Los Angeles with drugging and raping two women, prosecutors said Friday.

Sharper was expected to be arraigned on two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

The complaint alleges the controlled substances were morphine and zolpidem, which is sold under the brand name Ambien.

Wow. So if this is true, this guy has to be the biggest scumbag who has played in the NFL in recent memory right? I would honestly say this makes him even worse than Hernandez.

Apparently he is now linked to seven rapes and eleven druggings in four different states. If they can prove all of that, he might never see the light of day again, or at least not for a long, long time.

Cant comprehend why he felt he needed top dp that. I doubt he couldnt get laid, probably more of the power he felt doing those things. Just a complete disregard for people around him. Dude needs t be put away, I dont believe in recovery for that kind of deviant.
