Default Harvin Ruled out for the NFCCG

    As per Adam Schfeter. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/sta...50854308827136

Seattle made a big splash when they traded for him. But for what? He's always had injury issues. They gave up a first round pick for a punt returner and above average WR. Yeah, he has big play ability, but a first round pick for a guy who has never had a big year as a wideout should always be viewed as suspect.

Meanwhile, the Niners traded a fourth a sixth round pick for Boldin. Boldin has 85 catches, close to 1,200 yards, and seven TD's on the year.

Ultimately, Harvin being out means little to nothing for Seattle. They've never really had him, so the offense isn't missing anything this year. This isn't to say that Harvin is soft; you have no control over injuries in the NFL, and calling someone soft implies that they can play and they simply aren't. Harvin has minimum ability to mitigate or change a defensive back from tackling his head. Harvin, like most most people, cannot simply tell his migraine headaches to go away.

Still, this lost season for Harvin has to sting the Seahawks. While I never thought that he was worth a first round pick (that hype was only really accepted because at one point he was one pace to have a monster year), Harvin is a very deadly player. Seattle would no doubt be more dynamic with Harvin in the game.

Seattle should at least be grateful that next year Harvin will have a clean slate to start from.

    It's a shame he's always injured.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.
