This weekend the Chargers and Broncos will play for the third time this year. San Diego, who in week 17 was a dark horse to even make the playoffs, ended up upsetting the Bengals in the Wild Card round.

The Chargers have played in the divisional round of the playoffs five times since 2006. They are just 1-3 in those matchups. The only win coming against the Peyton Manning led Colts in 2007.

San Diego has 11 playoff wins to 16 losses in franchise history. They have always performed well in the wild card round, but have seemed to struggle when they get into the divisional round.

They have only won four times in ten career divisional playoff games. And aside from the 2007 win, their last divisional round win was in 1994 against the Miami Dolphins.

Denver on the other hand is 18-17 in the playoffs in franchise history. This will be the third straight year the Broncos play in the divisional round. They have lost the previous two, last year to the Ravens and the year before to the Patriots. The last time the Broncos won in the divisional round was in 2005 when they beat New England.
