Not that I agree with it, I believe the end position is in a bad situation to begin with.

The pass rush is broke and they currently have (at best) 1 RDE on the roster, I sincerely hope they know that.

Last year Elway swooped in and grabbed up a free agent at a position of need on the first day of free agency. Everyone considered Vasquez as a 2nd tier player. It turns out he was first tier, but Elway was the only one that knew it. There were also no rumors connecting Vasquez to the Broncos before he was signed. Could Houston be that man this year?

doubt it. . . malik jackson is a perfectly good LDE in this scheme-- we even have depth there if wolfe can play. . . we need a RDE who's a serious pass rusher-- houston's a nice player, but he's not that guy. . . doesn't fit unless wolfe doesn't come back. . .

Malik is depth at this point and Wolfe is cross your fingers. I would love to know we're gonna have a playmaker at LDE, and if Wolfe is healthy move him to the right side.

@nfldraftupdate: Bears gave ex-Raiders DE Lamarr Houston a 5-year, $35M with $15M guaranteed. Can rush inside on 3rd downs, good defender.

So much for hope. That kid is going to be good if they put good players around him. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him with double digit sacks this season.
