*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Bengals better win so Rivers can keep his big mouth shut. I wouldn't mind them knocking of the Patriots too.

I'm pulling for Cincy to win a couple of games. I really like this team and king for that matter. They scare me the most in the AFC if Dalton shows up.

Beating the Chargers and the Pats would be pretty awesome.

This was my first thought also. Their pass rush is good enough they could afford to release our sack leader; what's that say about it? Their secondary's embarrassing, but their front seven's not.

My own observation is that Cincy averaged 17.625 pts more than opponents at home this year, second only to NO (18.375.) That's a jaw dropping difference; it means Cincy outscored visiting teams by 141 pts in 8 games. The Bolts managed to outscore opponents by 8 pts on the road (an average of exactly 1/game,) but that's not nearly enough to make up Cincys HFA.

On schedule-adjusted victory margin for the whole season (i.e. home and away) Cincys 4 is slightly greater than SD's 2, which gives the Bengals a slight edge, but adding the average of their home/road advantage makes it Bengals by 10. History isn't destiny, but I don't give the So Cal team much of a chance in Cincy in January.

You may be guilty of doing your Bengals like I do my Broncos, King; they're both better than they look to frustrated pessimists. When it comes to football, no one wants to play Charlie Brown to their teams Lucy Van Pelt, but, again, history isn't destiny. Cincy's had some key season-ending injuries, but so has every AFC team but KC; the Bengals could go far in this tourney.
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded

I'm really hoping this is the year that they finally win a playoff game since I was in high school. I have a good feeling just because of how well they have played at home this year, but I also have a bad feeling, simply because of history.
