Gun free zones have invisible force fields that keep all the bad guys away. Because they care first and foremost about rules and laws. Thank God for gun free zones.
My daughter, a senior at Arapahoe High School is at home safe. Shots fired were in the hallway right outside her classroom.
She is physically fine, mentally drained and very scared.
Thanks. It took nearly four hours to get her, but very happy she is home now.
Her description of what happened very near where she was is extrememly upsetting. Very thankful the shooter didn't do more damage before taking himself out. Daughter was in a classroom in the hallway where the shooter was. Knows the kid too - not well, but knows him. Sad day for sure, but grateful it ended quickly with no loss of life.
good to hear joe, glad your fam is ok.
So thankful your daughter is ok, Joe. Davii, did you hear anything about your nieces?
Sorry I didn't get back in here sooner. My oldest niece attended this school last year but is in a different school since they moved to Northglenn. Took me a while to find that out as my sister was at work. Eventually got hold of my Mom.
Extremely glad to know your daughter is safe Joe. Scary situation.
So it has come out that this kid was demoted on the debate team and went to kill the teacher who demoted him. Unreal.
Aren't the stricter gun laws in Colorado designed to stop these incidents?

3. He Was Very Political & Could Get Heated
Pierson's Facebook page, before it was taken down, was a window into the mind of the accused shooter. He wrote a lot about economics and politics, calling himself a "Keynesian" and jesting that neoclassic economic theory would not help fix the economy.
He also used his Facebook to routinely mock Republicans like this, as quoted by the Denver Post:
The Republican Party: Health Care: Let 'em Die, Climate Change: Let 'em Die, Gun Violence: Let 'em Die, Women's Rights: Let 'em Die, More War: Let 'em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?
One classmate described him as harmless but said he could get verbally aggressive and very heated when debating and discussing politics with teachers and student.

I don't really care what the kid thought.
Maybe if he didn't try to kill others.
But he tried. So, I'm glad he's gone. He can't hurt anyone now.
You don't find it ironic that a guy who championed gun control ended up doing something like this?
Well, the stricter gun laws in Colorado that were supposed to cut down on this crap have failed.
