*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Someone tried to make the case the other day that Major League II was better than the original. I mean, c'mon.

No, I think it was Brian Kenny on twitter, which made it all the more appalling that someone reputable was trying to advance that line of thinking.

    Brian Kenny seems very ego-oriented.

That seems like a fair statement. Most of those guys on MLBN are now that you mention it. But I haven't really watched much this year.

I played catcher. I loved taking on skinny baserunners. I guess when you get to the MLB, the base runners are not so skinny anymore

All of this because Buster Posey is the biggest faggot ever and the Giants are the biggest group of whining douche bags the world of sports has ever seen. I hate that franchise more than any other.

While I agree with your assessment of the Giants...this is not ALL because of Posey.

I know, but I will take any chance I get to mention how much I despise those ******s, and the Posey injury was the impetus for the conversation that sparked the rule change.

I don't mind this at all. I ask myself, why were collisions only allowed at the plate and not other bases in the past? And why can't catchers swipe tag like regular fielders?

(Maybe Coach can answer that latter question)

they can swipe tag... it happens all the time. They just block the plate to make it harder on the runner.

Here's a video of Buck Martinez doing both in one play... after he broke his leg. Best play I've ever seen.
