Default Valor’s Christian McCaffrey to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl

No shock here – Valor Christian senior running back Christian McCaffrey has been named to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl roster.

As part of 90 players nationally, McCaffrey, 6-feet, 195 pounds, was The Denver Post 2012 player of the year and part of three Colorado championships. He has helped the Eagles to the Class 5A quarterfinals – they will host Columbine on Friday at 7 p.m. The Eagles are 10-1, 47-6 with McCaffrey in the lineup.

“McCaffrey is a talented athlete whose leadership and teamwork qualities have made him a standout at Valor Christian High School,” said Mark Davis, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Marketing. “Only the strongest wear the Army colors, and are proud to welcome all of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl players and commend each of them on their selection.”

Kid is explosive beyond belief. Will be interesting to see where he fits in at Stanford.

Is he a RB? If he is he'll be competing with Barry Sanders Jr. It'll be the celebrity sons roster.

i believe they offered him as a db but not positive. i think he could play some kind of role on offense but they are so baseline predictable they probably dont even hae packages for slash type players.

How many years has Valor been around? That school didn't even exist when I went to high school in Colorado. Man, I am getting old.

Schools pop up non-stop anymore. WHen I moved here in 94 there were 6 high schools in a 20 mile radius. Now there are 14
