He affects games because of the way teams game plan for him. They run away from him, double team him, and call a lot of quick screens. It wouldnt be possible to understand his impact without watching them play...btw, I'm not a fan of his or the Gamecocks.

Simple Google search came up with some info. I don't read where Clowney's draft position is falling. If he falls out of the top five (to be generous) I'd be surprised. The third article indicates Clowney is playing w/bone spurs in right foot w/surgery coming.

Clowney showing he's not just a pass rusher, Antonio Richardson is a 1st round prospect too.

Clowney has always played the run well, even as a true Freshamn. He's never been a one dimensional player, fans and draftniks just get caught up in TFL and sack stats and just assume that's all he about.

It's amusing fans and draftniks are trying to compare Barr and Clowney and attempt to determine who the better player is by just those same stats. You just can't do it IMO. Barr plays a OLB in UCLAs 3-4 defense, Clowney plays DE in SCs 4-2-5 defense. Completely different positions and responsibilities. Just watch them play and you can see the difference.

When Barr rushes the passer he stands up and is lined up WIDE of the OT. He also asked to drop back in coverage which Clowney isn't. When Clowney rushes the passer he's got his hand in the dirt and is lined up OVER the OT. Huge differences.

Their both great players who's best football is ahead of them. But if Barr goes before Clowney or vice verse i seriously doubt it will have to do with scouts thinking one is a better player than the other, but more to do with who's the better fit for their scheme.

If i'm looking for a pass rusher and i'm running a 3-4 defense, Barr is my guy. If i'm running a 4-3 defense, Clowney is my guy.

I watched the first half of the SC UT game. Clowney was superb against the run. He had two or three tackles for a loss. That guy is scary.

Was too busy. Nice win for your boys. BTW, are you prepared to watch Kentucky win another national championship? We have the most talented college team ever.

Good luck with that, says a Kansas fan. Kansas actually has more comparable talent than in years past to match up, and also the best coach in college.

    Coach K left for Kansas?

Default 2014 Draft and Jadaveon Clowney...

Kentucky is too much for Kansas. I respect Self, but it's a miracle that he's 1-1 with Cal in title games. Kentucky is just loaded. Kansas is talented, but not like Kentucky.

Todd Gurley is a true soph, not eligible for the '14 draft. Same with Yeldon.

Right now I wouldn't say he'll be the number one overall pick but from what I seen and read he probably won't fall out of the top five. There are certain could cause it but it's nothing anyone could back on.
