does it matter if the name given 80 yrs ago wasn't given in spite ?....does that mean a name that is today deemed offensive is ok just because it was ok in 1933?

we are not mascots...we are not pets...we are not toys...we are human beings and when you can show me another race of humans that has protested the derogatory name and their likeness as a mascot...and nothing was done... except people telling them its an honor...then i'll drop it
