His lawyer just cleared this up about 2 hours ago. The fine was paid Zam. No need to appear when you either have to pay OR appear. He had an option to just go ahead and pay the fine, which he chose to do.

Have you ever been given a speeding ticket? You can show up to court if you want and maybe get the fine reduced or request traffic school OR just pay the damn fine. I got a speeding ticket earlier this year, I decided to show up to request traffic school, which I completed.
