Default After embarrassing loss, Broncos aren't quite ready yet

SEATTLE — It was the type of beating where all the Broncos can do is lick their wounds. And bandage their wrists. And ice their bruises and sprains. Boot up their feet and brace their necks.

Get some sleep after a long night in Seattle. Literally and metaphorically, the Broncos were pummeled 40-10 by the Seahawks in a preseason game Saturday night at CenturyLink Field.

"A game like this," said Broncos defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson, "you take something from it and go back to the drawing board."

As beat up as this team is, I'd rather it be now and not six weeks from now or four months from now. I just hope the injury bug bites now and this team is poised for success come December and January. This team has the potential to do great things and it would be an absolute travesty to have their efforts derailed by injuries to star players like Champ, Welker, etc.
