    Default Brian Urlacher retires

    Source: Gregg Rosenthal, NFL.com

One of the greatest Chicago Bears of all-time will not put on another team's uniform. Brian Urlacher announced his retirement Wednesday on Twitter.

"After spending a lot of time this spring thinking about my NFL future, I have made a decision to retire," he wrote in a statement. "Although I could continue playing, I'm not sure I would bring a level of performance or passion that's up to my standards. When considering this, along with the fact that that I could retire after a 13 year career wearing only one jersey for such a storied franchise, my decision became pretty clear."

The dude was a beast of a backer for over a decade...props to him for knowing when to call it quits. He almost got a ring, had a long, awesome career, and went out like a pro. Good on him.

I'm not one to pry into people's personal lives, so I can't say for certain whether or not he's gotten married. If he has, then he's gotten a ring. After all, you never specified what kind of a ring he got.

Hey, politicians do this all the time to pretend that they didn’t actually say what everyone knows they said. So why can’t you?

He's a hall of famer in my eyes. Still kind of a douchebag, but a hall of famer.
