I find it interesting that he's visiting a team that runs a 3-4 defense when he had worst year as pro playing in a 3-4.

I hope they pay him his desired money and his production drops further

Probably because no one else is calling him.

Yep and thing is he could have been in a defense that he was more accustomed to.

Denver probably didn't ever feel desperate to sign him, hence the reason they never offered him a contract. San Diego lost Phillips and now Ingram...they're desperate for a pass rusher and more likely to give Freeney what he wants, or at least close to it.

I think Phillips have better chance of being productive than Freeney does.

Bottom line Freeney has probably screwed himself.

Eh. That could go either way. Phillips is a natural DE but succeeded as a 3-4 OLB and now he's going back to 4-3 DE. So we'll see.

I dont think thi is necessarily true. I think having Millr and Phillips allows the defense to move both of them around a lot and create a ton of match up advantages. Yes, Phillips will see time at DE, but so will Miller. Two guys that basically bring the same abilities, roaming around the field coming from different angles all the time. It's gonna be fun

I don't think Miller will see time at DE. It would be a waste. Let an actual LDE eat up the blocker so Miller can get around the edge easier...

Isn't it great that we have a player who can dominate lime Con can! Its been a while. Dumervil was good but Miller is better

Von Miller is a complete player at his position. It's not fair to compare him and Dumervil. Doom was a very skilled pass rusher, but until last year was HORRIBLE against the run and in his limited time in a 3-4 was also terrible in coverage. Von is exceptional at OLB.
