As far as Barleywines go, my favorite is Weyerbacher Insanity. It's a barleywine aged in whiskey barrels.

Bigfoot is a really tasty barley wine. I tried the rye IPA they have and it was good too but some rye kills my stomach and that one did.

Lol, I remember what it was. I meant to grab the big foot and ended up accidentally grabbing their rye

I just had an Insanity (weyerbacher BA barley wine). It was awesome! For me, Bligh's by Dry Dock is the best BA Barley Wine out there. Have you had it? Insanity is a very close second!

I have not tried Dry Dock, I don't think it's distributed in my neck of the woods. I'll have my brother keep an eye out for it though, hopefully he can bring me some.

I honestly haven't tried more than a few barley wines that I recall. The only one I recall looking was the collaboration between Rogue and Deschuttes.

    Deschutes pine drop ipa

Not bad, not great. Fairly light in the flavor dept. Mild citrus, moderate hop flavor. So light it almost finishes like a lager.

Local beer with big enough flavor to compete with some of the bigger DIPAs. Great beer.
