do what ya gotta. . . . IMO it's every man for himself when the beer starts running out. . . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

You could do a LOT worse. I love Fat Tire, Hazed and Infuzed, and Shiner bock. The SA Octoberfest isn't bad either. That's a pretty good haul in my book.

I thought so too. My Mom married a decent dude. He always had decent beer in the fridge when I used to come visit her.

Well usually I find Bell Brewery a very good brewer. But the cherry stout is epic failure. There almost sickly sweet aftertaste. I would highly recommend that you stay away for it!

man, i just had one of those last night, and IMO it's truly presidential-- probably one of my favorite beers that i've had. . . avery just kicks so much ass! it's a perfect combo of malt warmth and sweetness with hop bite and some citrus notes. . . very smooth and drinkable for a beer that strong. . . i can't wait to get some more of 'em!

there's no way in hell that beer should only be brewed once every four years. . . .

i have no idea how common avery brews are in jersey, but they might not have it at a corner market type of place-- i can't say for sure. . .

    here's avery's beerfinder page for jersey-- take a look at that. . . .

Well that sucks. No distributer for Iowa, nor anything close to the quad cities (Illinois and Wisconsin)

Anyone want to send me a bottle?

I'm very excited... I bought back in September just for this occasion and I'm going to crack it after the first set of statewide poll closings.

Also, minor point: Is my big 25-oz mug appropriate for this, or should I break out one of the fancier glasses to get the most out of it?

as long as the glass has a wide mouth, i really don't think it matters-- i drank mine out of a regular pilsner glass. . . i like to let the bigger beers warm up a little as i drink them, but with a pale ale i don't want it too warm-- i poured half of it into the glass and left the other half in the fridge while i was drinking it. . . either way, enjoy!
