Picked this up last week when I was down in Austin, Tx.

Clown Shoes Brewery, "Tramp Stamp" Belgian IPA.

It was pretty darn good. First offering from "Clown Shoes" I've had. Of course, the IPA category is really getting stretched. ... Belgian IPA? It's an excellent beer with citrus overtones. But, before long IPA won't really mean much.

Anyways, I really enjoyed it. Great beer. .. oh and the picture was with my new Nikon DSLR camera. I have a new toy to play with while I'm drinking!

the term is already pretty much meaningless. . . it's gotten to the point where brewers just call anything they want "IPA" because they know it's popular and it sells. . .

i wouldn't buy a so-called belgian IPA if you held a gun to my head-- keep all that bullshit spice and nasty-ass beet sugar out of my gawd damn brew!

I really like Clown Shoes's offering. The Black IPA (Hoppy feet and Hoppy feet 1.5) are real good brews.

This one's actually rated highly by Beer Advocate magazine. It was a good brew, just probably poorly named.

    Nice

I went to Parry's Pizza here in Highlands Ranch last night. They have an awesome selection of taps (50 total and always rotating). For some reason I am on a kick of red beer right now. Saw they had a keg of Dale's G'Knight Imperial red. Went to order it and it was out. Bartender told me Boulevard's Tank 7 Farmhouse ale is similar. Shit tasted like carbonated apple juice and it isn't a red.

Now I think I am driving up to argonaut today. I will try the redchair and others. Once it heats up I tend to drink the lighter colored stuff-sunshine wheat, leinenkugel's honeyweiss, etc..

What did you think of it? I'm not a big fan of IPA's, but I thought it was pretty decent. My palate prefers stouts, and of course the NWPA.

i've had it many times, it's good. . . nothing spectacular, but a very solid session sixer, just like most of their brews. . .

my standby's that i can get at some of the local corner stores are the inversion, great divide's titan IPA, stone and firestone walker's IPAs, and new belgium's ranger IPA. . . there's almost always a six pack of one of those in my fridge. . .

Had both Southern Tier Milk Stout and their Porter. Not as good as their specialty offerings, but both are very solid brews that should be picked up and enjoyed if you see them around.

Just tried Hoptimum from Sierra Nevada....Holy F that is good chit. Dog if possible you need to find it and all hop heads for that matter. I'm putting it up there with Unearthly IMO...Only problem is it's almost "too" drinkable and at 10.4%, 2 or 3 in an hour will sneak up on you! Also, reasonably priced - 10$ /4 pack.

The other brew Ive been enjoying is Lagunitas imperial red. Limited release, I imagine it'll be gone by summer but man is it tasty!
