had newcastle brown ale and steam engine lager last night. newcastle is one of my faves and the steam engine was pretty tasty.
Newcastle is ok. I had it when I was in Qatar a few months back, but not something I'd drink if given options.

I like Sunset Wheat but I don't like Fruity Pebbles.

I had Dogfish Head Aprihops yesterday. Not good, frankly. I am a fan of Magic Hat #9, and thought that the DF would simply do the same thing better. It was not. The Apricot was cloying, and I spent too much money on it. I didn't let it go to waste though, because I am too cheap.

I tried the Widmer Crimson Wheat tonight. It was forgettable. Not great but certainly not hard to drink either.

I used to love Widmer Hefe-Weisen until I had Weihenstaphen Hefe. The only Hefe that I've had that's even close is the Franziskaner (or whatever) stuff I had last night. It's badass.

yea, not my favorite of theirs-- i could have told you that you probably wouldn't like it. . . the DFH people are mad creative, and they are ALWAYS trying something new. . . some of what they come up with is too far-out for my taste. . . i think their IPAs, stouts and brown ales are pretty much the best around, but some of the other stuff is just whacky. . . you're entirely safe with any IPA or burton baton, world wide stout, chickory stout, indian brown ale, palo santo marron, immort ale, or the old schoole barleywine. . . some of the others, not so much. . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Although I did like the IPA Aprihop.
