Alaskan Pale was one of my favorites, but they discontinued years ago due to the difficulty of getting the certain hops. It was a golden ale. Anyway, I saw Kona had a golden ale, Big Wave, so I bought a 6er hoping it tasted similar to the Alaskan Pale. It's disgusting. Anyway, I wanted to pass this along.

Kittery ME/Portsmouth NH area has a lot good unique breweries. If you in around there I highly recommend stop for a couple days if you want to beer "tour".
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

I had a black IPA from the Pike tonight called octopus ink. Solid but you really don't get the citrus aftertaste you expect from a IPA.
