I'm just hoping whatever brand of beer dog and SR drink bringing in the New Year, I'll get to see pictures of them with funny hats on and horns sticking out of their mouths. I need a good laugh starting out the new year.

    Happy New Years!

I have Blue Moon on hand. Can you believe it was less expensive than any of the Miller or Bud beers?
    What's up with that?

That is the second time you've said that in the last two pages of this thread.

You won't see any pictures of me with funny hats or any of that. I'm not even going to drink after work. I though about it, but decided against it because I'm so tired. I'm just gonna get my hair cut, take a shower, and go to bed.

Blue Moon is mass distributed and a known cause of next day diarrhea. They almost give it away anymore

Once I get home and get settled in my new house, I'm going to AZ on some leave for a while. I'll be paying a visit to my favorite home brew store called "What Ale's Ya" of of 67th Ave and Bell rd in Glendale, AZ so I can pick up the missing pieces to my 6 year old home brew kit. I think all I need is the fermenting jug, a new valve that goes on top of that jug to let the air out, and I need a hose for bottling.

I can't wait to get back in to home brewing. I think I'll start out with an amber bock or some kind of wheat beer.

Blue Moon does not have that effect on me.

Cool...We'll have to share some recipes. You could probably find the carboy, etc. much cheaper on-line rather than buying the stuff from an independent store.

My dad and I have been buying our stuff at the same place since I was 13 or 14, so we both get really good prices on supplies, grains, malts, etc.

It's been a little over three years since I've cooked any beer, so I'm going to have to do a couple of 'confidence batches' before I start venturing out on my own, but I'll get there.

I'd like to make my own Crown Royal. Anyone have the recipe for that?

Good deal...I have a few contacts as well. I have a friend that owns a beer store and gets me the stuff you can't buy easily. i.e. Dogfish 120. I've also become pretty good friends with the guys at HomeBrew Headquarters and can get some deals there. But mostly, my uncle buys the stuff when we brew, so I always have minimal cost.

Are these places in the DFW area? That's a lot easier than Phoenix. I'm not about to buy some "Mr Brew" home brew kit online. Not a fan.
