Thread: Can Santa Say HO HO HO

I heard the other day that some "Protect the Women's" group is trying to get all Santa's to start saying HA HA HA instead of HO HO HO! Why? Because if we allow Santa's to say HO HO HO it is teaching our daughter's that it is okay to use insulting language toward women. Well........... I am a "girl" (with a few year on me) and I personally do NOT take offense to the words "Ho Ho Ho" coming out of a little fat man wearing a red suit at Christmas time! GOOOOOOD grief! It is like some people have NO common sense and are trying to take the fun out of everything!

Hey - we can say 'bitches' in our music, but best not say "Ho Ho Ho" these days. You need to say "Oh Oh Oh" I guess.

Can't blame "Democrats" for it.

I'm all for banning the rantings and ravings of these special rights groups, they spend that much time on stupid crap like this that any real message they may have gets lost or ignored.

I'm quite comfortable with my traditions the way that they are............LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!

We're trying, but it's bloody hard work

When are people goign to realise that these 'orginisations', far from promoting equality and harmony actually serve to increase resentment and division within society?

And what ever happened to just letting FUN be fun, KIDS be KIDS and stop trying to be so politically correct, or so afraid that someone's toes will be stepped.
I remember growing up that being taught that basic line: Sticks and stones..... but names will never hurt me! The people that are trying to make the HO HO HO seem anything more than a "laugh like a bowl full of Jelly" must not have been taught much at all!!

IT is silly, and I have encouraged all of the children in my care, boys and girls that when Santa Speaks he says HOHOHO!
