He has to do his job in the running game as well.

Of course but his main focus will be to sack the QB.

    Default Margus Hunt

Did I read somewhere that he's 6'8" tall?
Denver most certainly would be the only team with 2 dudes over 6'8"(Osweiler), right?

Still pounding the table for Margus Hunt. Especially with the loss of Dume. Hunt is bigger, more athletic, faster and stronger with a longer reach. Nothing but upside.

If we don't like who's ther at 28 then we need to trade down for a 2nd and 3rd and get Hunt early in the 2nd with whatever trade we get. That's of course if no one is there at 28 to fit the need.

Hunt is overrated, don't get me wrong I like the kid...but he has struggled in his growth at the position and in adapting to the sport, he's more of an athlete then a football player and that is a red flag. Tebow was more of an athlete then a quarterback, Hunt will be drafted because his natural athletic talents and tremendous upside, but he might be the rawest defensive end in this draft and the least football savvy.

If we are going to take a chance on a kid...do not do it in round 1 or 2, you need proven commodity that projects well. High upside is later in the draft.

What about John Simon? He may be available at 58, whereas Hunt certainly won't. He seems more polished than Hunt, even if maybe his ceiling is not as high.

I think he might be worth it in the 2nd. We are so late in the 2nd it is almost like a 3rd. He reminds me of Wolfe.

Same here, he is small like Doom and Freeney, but more athletically gifted then either them and has a disposition much like Wolfe, I would be okay with Simon.

Simon seems like slightly more of a pure pass rusher than Wolfe, who seems better vs. the run (comparing how they played in college). He seems to only rotate inside on passing situations. But yes definitely similar and I think he would fit our system well .

It's his demeanor, nastiness and work ethic which makes the two so similar. Simon is a nasty S.O.B., with a lot of upside, the one knock is that he is better suited to be a 3-4 outside linebacker then a 4-3 edge rusher, but the same was said of Dumervil.

How come you think his more suited to 3-4 OLB? Not getting of OL blocks vs the run?

More or less his size, he may struggle to shed blocks so easily or maintain a blitz against some of the more prominent tackles. After all he's 6'1, 257lbs. a tad taller but lighter then Dumervil, he could add about ten pounds and maintain his natural athletic and pass rush ability, but not much more.
