    Default Bought a classic car

So I decided I had waited long enough. I've been passively searching for the right deal to get back into old muscle for a while now. Well, last week it fell in my lap. A good friend of mine has a couple issue with his 66 Mustang that he didn't get fixed before deploying to Afghanistan. When he came back he just left it covered, got orders to New York, and decided to let it go.

He made me an offer I couldn't refuse. So I now own a 66 Mustang, 302, 4 speed, all done out with the big cam and carb, intake, full headers, new wiring harness, dakota digital dash.

It needs some body work and paint, interior redone, and tlc.

I picked it up Saturday, hadn't been touched in over two years. A new battery, fuel pump, dropped and cleaned the gas tank... now she lives!

It'll take some doing to get her to run right, but I got her running...

While I don't know much about cars, that's pretty cool.

Not a mustang guy, but as a car lover thats pretty nice Davii, especially if it was a good friends. It always nice to get or ever have to give up a classic to somebody u know will treat it right. I do like the the style on the 66 Stangs. Exterior looks real straight. That original paint color?

No, it was originally a mint green. You know, I've always been first and foremost a GM guy but love the early Mustangs. I'm going to be very happy with this car.

Im a mopar guy but mopar muscle is rare, hence insanely priced unless u can get something like a dart swinger and even yet u pay more than what u get. Unfortunately my old man is into old old cars. His 31 Model A is pretty cool, but 60 horsepower just doesnt do it for me lol. Nice thing about older stangs is parts arent too hard to come by.

Mustang fan or not, it's hard not to love that style. It looks awesome. The color reminds me of the old Steve McQueen Mustang.

My dad has had a 67 F100 for years. I wish he would fix it up. It's been in the garage for almost 20 years.

I just don't know a dang thing about cars. I usually go to a friend when it comes to car problems.

Sounds to me like a GREAT opportunity to learn. I'd love it if my Dad had something like that in the garage!
