I love classic cars. That are very classy but very rare these days.

Unfortunately the body shop hasn't gotten anything done. I know nothing of paint and body so I was relying on them. It sits in the back of their shop completely disassembled.

Very little. If they don't get it done by the time i'm comfortable in my new job I'll be pulling it out and taking it elsewhere.

We shall see. All the guys on the job I’ve spoken with say it took them a good 6 months to feel comfortable in the job, but I’m already feeling confident with the robots, etc. I had a good head start of going out and working with the local guy in New Orleans the last few months so I feel like I’m a bit ahead.

    That’s awesome dude!

Truthfully though, I was asking if they’ve had your car for two months

Just so I understand, you hired a body shop to do your car, and they’ve had the body for....two years?

Kind of. I hired a specific guy to work on it and agreed on timelines with him, basically 6months because it was sidework at the shop. I gave him $1,000 for materials, he got some work done, and then disappeared. The guy that owns the shop is 83 and works on it when he can but that isn't much. He feels bad because it was his employee that screwed me, but the guy was renting space from Jack and Jack wasn't in on the agreement. Jack and I are good friends and I know he wants to get it done, he just doesn't have the time with his all the trucks he does.

We'll see. He said while I'm out here training he would get the bodywork done and get the door jams, etc painted so we can reassemble and start working on finishingit up
