Slowly but surely. Haven't been able to work on the car for about a month now. Made some progress today and I'll have the engine bay ready for the motor this week.

I've said it before...I'm so jealous. My first car was a 68.

I could be convinced to do an even trade when I'm finished.

Awesome car Gem, thanks for sharing!

You don't want her, she is sure pretty, but the engine is shot.

No pictures, but I got the rest of the drivetrain in today. I put the car on jackstands on all 4 corners, got the transmission in using a motorcycle jack and a floor jack, put the transmission crossmember on, and then realized I couldn't get the shifter back in with the crossmember in... supported the transmission with the floor jack, unbolted the crossmember, got the shifter in place and adjusted, put the crossmember back on, put the emergency brake lever together, and then got the driveshaft installed.

Another good day or two of work and it should be ready to fire up the motor for the first time.

Are you going to provide a video with sound? I'd love to hear it.

    You're killing independent George!

I will be linking to a YouTube video once she's running, thanks for the suggestion! I might not video the absolute first start, I'll be too busy worrying about everything and checking for leaks, etc, but if I have a "spare" helper at the garage I will.

Not a LOT of progress, but progress nonetheless. The radiator is a tad wider than stock, so I had to get a shorter fan spacer, shorter fan bolts, and had to do some work to get the fan shroud to fit. Anyhow, radiator, fan, shroud, and the hoses are all in.

I forgot to mention before, and I don't have a photo handy, butI got rid of the 60's era steering system and installed a rack and pinion system. It'll be MUCH better.
