BTW, the carpet is a breeze. Very easy to do, and make sure when you do the carpet, you have the seats out....

They quality and fit can't be beat. You can ship (or take) the seats to him and you get a very professional job. Your choice. I did the coupe myself and had them do the vert. Both came out the same, but the vert was a hell of a lot easier
I'll definitely be tackling it myself when I get there. Budget and all... It looks like Al Knoch only does Corvette and Camaro.

Pretty much, I have seen his guys (they are about 100 miles from me near El Paso Texas) doing a custom Tbucket pickup. Breathtaking. He does other stuff, but mostly vettes....

Fabulous project NT. There is nothing like driving a classic. I currently own new cars (about to pull the trigger on a Fusion hybrid), but I still love driving the old girls ....

So the car isn't running right now. It blew an ignition fuse and while troubleshooting that I realized it is blowing random fuses. So I've got a wiring gremlin. Being that it's blowing fuses in multiple circuits I'm leaning towards a ground issue. Any thoughts/advice?

Sounds like the Flux Capacitor is pushing too many Gigawatts. What do you have it set to?

That's about standard. One time I ran out of blinker fluid and it messed everything up.

I would suspect the fuse box and firewall penetration. Old brittle wires and possible rodent chewing the insulation off. Look into buying a full harness and rewire the old girl. I know that sounds intimidating, but it is really not that hard, plus, you get to know that your wiring is right and the damn car won't catch fire ....

Well, I fixed part of it. I found a radio power wire that was bare and I believe causing some of the fuses to blow.

The ignition fuse still blows when I crank.

It is a new harness, well four years old, 14 circuit painless.

Can really bad points cause that fuse to blow?

    In a word no.

    what other fuse/circuit is blowing.

That is great news about the new harness, but troublesome about the bare wire ....

BTW, I have GOT to go to bed. If you want me to, I will follow up in the AM ....

Bad points can't blow a fuse. Sounds to me like you've got a bad ground or an arching wire somewhere.

And wiring sucks. There's no way around it. I hate it.

My sister and my dad restored a 68 Buick Riviera. It is badass.
