that is awesome. I want to get a muscle car someday but my 55 chevy pickup is going to give me the time to work on a classic before diving into what I really want.
Awesome. My first car was a 68 Mustang. You will love it.

got an interior pix?
Outstanding! I am a huge classic muscle car guy. I currently own 2 stingray Corvettes one of which I have owned for over 30 years. Nothing like a carb and distributor. Do "progressive" maintenance on her and she will run forever. The 302 is one of the finest engines Ford ever designed, absolutely bullet proof. If you need any help PM me. I currently have two other Classics in my rebuild mill right now, both Ford 66 F100's.
Gotta love that hard bodied Detroit iron ....
Have fun with her .....

Were they out of new cars?
That hood has a story behind it. We like it too, but is was a process to cover a ProStock scoop hole that came out at the high pressure area of the windshield area like they did in the 70's. The blue car was a ProStock competitor and was crashed scrubbing off the body along the guard rail on the drag strip. A friend bought the car, rebodied it and my shop built a 300 hp small block and we built one of my racing automatics to go behind it. We were building it up covertly as he was getting married and he wanted to go on his honeymoon in it as a surprise for his bride. The hood ... had this hole it it from the drag racing scoop. We bought a "mini L88" hood scoop from JC Whitney to cover up the boo boo. . It worked so well, it has been on there for over 30 years I aquired the car from him about a year later (81).
They both are starting to need paint again, I rebuilt both interiors in the mid 2000's. We enjoy them.

You know, I hadn't even noticed that scoop is just a smaller version of the L88 scoop, it's obvious to me now! It looks good!
So you redid the interiors? I helped a friend do a back seat once, but I know I'm going to be nervous when I get to that point and start hog ringing, etc. Was out pretty difficult or not to bad?
It is not hard, but you need a lot of muscle and help holding things in place. My suggestion would be to check out Al Knock Interiors for your supplies http://www.alknochinteriors.com/. They quality and fit can't be beat. You can ship (or take) the seats to him and you get a very professional job. Your choice. I did the coupe myself and had them do the vert. Both came out the same, but the vert was a hell of a lot easier
