Default Bleacher Report 7 Round Mock Draft for Broncos

I'd take this draft in a heartbeat!

Round 1 - Kawann Short, Defensive Tackle, Purdue
Round 2 - Jon Bostic, Linebacker, Florida
Round 3 - Desmond Trufant, Cornerback, Washington
Round 4 - Stepfan Taylor, Running Back, Stanford
Round 5 - Conner Vernon, Wide Receiver, Duke
Round 6 - Josh Boyd, Defensive Tackle, Mississippi State
Round 7 - Braden Hansen, Guard, Brigham Young

They need to flip Trufant into rd 2 and Bostic into rd 3.

No way Trufant gets out of rd 2.

I don't think Bostic makes it out of round two.

The players listed in rounds 3,4, and 5 are all fairly unrealistic for where the Broncos are drafting.

I was thinking the same thing, especially with Taylor. I expect him to go much higher than that. I was thinking mid-to-late third and maybe even a little higher depending on combine performance.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Taylor was voted best running back at senior bowl week by the scouts. He didn't do much in the game, but his stock still went up last week.

He's only 5-8, but he's over 200. He's going to run somewhere between a 4.45-4.55 at the combine I would imagine, so he could sneak into the second round.

If he runs in the 4.4's, I don't think Denver even has a shot at him at the end of the 2nd.

I don't think he's that fast, but I would agree.

I like Robbie Rouse out of Fresno State, personally. And he's a guy you could get pretty late, maybe sixth or seventh round, even.

I hope he would be more reliable than Ryan Matthews.

I'd hope people wouldn't expect much out of him if the Broncos took him out of the sixth or seventh. But also like Matthews, he's got a lot of miles already on him.

Of course not. I was just taking a pot shot at Matthews for being a flake.
