Sounds like he's pretty busy. Davii could probably tell more.
Finished that book yesterday. It's a really damned good. Should be a movie, should be required reading in schools like All Quiet on the Western Front. Americans don't realize how good they have it, and a book like this is good for perspective.

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
Let's Rid3!!!!
Lovecraft and Poe.
Usually don't read fiction books but read mainly Christian books and devotions.
Ready for May Day & Flowers, Memorial and Mother's Day!
You guys all seem to be into sophisticated, non-fiction stuff, but I've recently started reading the Brad Thor novels, that revolve around ex-Seal, current Secret Service agent, Scott Horvath, and him single handedly kicking the living shit out of (aka, killing most of the time) bad guys.
Not really reading anything currently.
Finished reading a book called Zeitguist 2025 recently, it was interesting... bit conspiracy theorish, but still interesting.
Read the entire Expanse series recently too, kinda wanna watch the show now and see if it lives up to the books at all.
Just picked this up, excited to get back into Rush

I want to hear about your dive into Rush.
I'm hoping to start a band with a drummer, a high school friend, and I've recently moved back to my reluctant hometown, Redding CA. He's a Rush fan. He grew up trying to play Neil Peart. He figured it out. He's very good, probably elite. I mean, I'd say he's world class but that's my narrow worldview. Rush is a shared love, but his ardor is an order of magnitude greater than mine.
Anyways, I love Rush. That friend and I saw Primus a couple years ago doing the Farewell of Kings tour, a Rush full album cover. Wow, Rush has some music! Like, stuff that they just don't make, it's too complex and tight and non-pop. Hard to sell through the obvious channels. Gotta seek it out.
I don't know a lot of Rush except the hits. What I do know is impressive. The knock is GL's vocal timbre quality. That's never bothered me if music works, so I love it.
I'd be down to start a Rush thread and explore this. Ok, I will.
