My wife works at the County Library.

Don't mind Elitists like AGap. They're still very well patronized and provide many helpful community services.

Hers even offers a free Morningstar subscription on the website. You know, so I can properly evaluate my many lucrative investments :sniff: :Vettesplus:

I'm sure they do, I know my number and just enter it when checking books out. I purchase plenty of books through kindle, but like reading the walking dead comics in the books because the print and pics on kindle are too small.

I guess I'm a dork, I love libraries. The Denver library here is 4 or 5 stories tall and I have been known to just get lost in there for the day.

My youngest is reading the new Mrs. Davii novel. She claims it's even better than the first. I did hear her groan that the wrong people were dying.?..

Very cool - I didn't realize it was out. My son really enjoyed the first one.

I've tried reading 1984 multiple times on my phone, with no success. I finally bought a hard copy last week and I'm starting to read it now.

Andy Weir - The Martian. Ignore the cheesy title and sci-fi label. This book is pure balls. Rec to anyone interested in fiction, especially analytic types that like real (accurate) science, Shackleton-like (or Jack London-like) survival tales, and those who dig the desolate setting (e.g., The Road, Postman, so on).

I've got Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King, The King's Curse by Phillippa Gregory and some smut love story someone shared on Kindle. Think I'll read Mr. Mercedes first.

I pay particular attention to your input in this thread. there was a series that you had mentioned a while back that I was thinking on. I'll try to keep this one in mind

Finished The Martian. The movie release is this November according to wikipedia (Matt Damon). I hope it does justice. I want to listen to it again right now. Adventure and wit and science and grit. Hell of a yarn.

I just read a short book analyzing Taxi Driver and now i'm depressed. Reminder to never read books about movies that are incredibly bleak and disturbing.

Just finished The Jefferson Key by Steve Berry and am about 50 pages into the next Cotton Malone book by Berry, The King's Deception. Breezy, fun reads.
