Existentialism is my favourite philosophy - perhaps add in a little Nihilism (which was Nietzsche) - unless you are going to do a course in philosophy, i would not recommend any of the text books as they are quite heavy.
A book that i absolutely loved was "the fall" by Steven Taylor - it is not an existential text book, but a story which discusses existential ideas - i actually found the whole thing really profound and good reading (i loved the point he made at the end that brings the whole book together)
this is the kind of response I was looking for, thanks, I'm going to check into this. I am borderline Nihilist myself, really thinking that this is all just a real bad random dream and that when I wake up there really isn't going to be people like NTL, a guy I work with who will remain unnamed, and Ned Flanders even though he is just a cartoon character and not real, in this dream anyway. thanks.
I've been bored and decided to get a book to read. The library won't let me get a card without residency so I have to rely on wal Mart. Their selection sucks, it consists of books for children and housewives. The only thing that looked intriguing was The Life and Times of Charles Manson

Do you not have a kindle?
This may be a silly question but are the books in a different format in the UK - I have seen on Amazon where some people cant get a certain book if they are overseas
I have around 700 books on CD for my kindle - alot of classics - some crap, some autobiographies etc
I would be happy to send you a copy - I have sent it to a couple people on here
yeah i think it is like dvds - they come in regions - but i could be wrong
cheers anyway
Amazon Unlimited - for $9.99 a month you can read as many books (that are part of the program, there are about 600,000 books available in it) as you want. Its kind of like Netflix but for books - they have a 30 day free trial (Davii's wife book is on the list) so I figured with vacation coming up it would be a god time to take advantage - I can spend all day just picking books to read![]()
I am reading a book called drop the rock, about letting things go, not holding onto things that piss you off. not bad so far, not sure I want to drop the rock though
