The latest "Repairman Jack" novel by F.Paul Wilson. It's called "By The Sword". I'll chime in with a rating when I'm done.

Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. Atrocious book in every way imaginable.

I'm not as much of a reader as i probably should be (good brain excercise) but i ran across "A Devil on One Shoulder and an Angel on the Other:The Story of Shannon Hoon and Blind Melon" by Greg Prato at Books-A-Million. It was only 20.00 bucks and a little over 300 pages so it was right up my alley.
Easy read with alot of interesting little bits about the band which i was a big fan of in their early years.
Just bought the 50th anniversary set of LOTR today. Obviously not my first time reading it, but I had a 30% off coupon at borders, and saved myself 20 bucks today. Also currently in the middle of reading the gunslinger saga. I'm on Wizard and Glass, but don't want to continue because I'm picky. The first 4 books I bought had a particular look to them, and the 5th-7th haven't been published with that look yet. I really don't want to buy the books twice just so my bookshelf looks proper.
SHORYUKEN!
Just about finished The Lost Symbol.
Good read
The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent. Just started it today.

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
I am reading a Swedish vampire novel (translated into English of course) called "Let The Right One In"....very good, very different than American vampire novels (which seem to have unfortunately romanticised the whole vampire genre).
So far The Heretic's Daughter is pretty good. It's easy to read and, despite being kind of slow in development, is pretty captivating. I've found myself reading it in 40-50 page lumps so far.

about to start world war Z by max brooks. . . for those of you who aren't familiar, yes, he is the son of mel brooks, and yes, he wrote a book (two, actually) about a zombie apocalypse. . .

Currently going through "Galactic Patrol" a fantastic space opera by E.E. "Doc" Smith - Lensman series (Triplanetary is the first in 6 part series.) Written in the forties it is the inspiration for the Jedi in Star Wars.
Just finished Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series Dead and Alive. It was good, but not as compelling as his others.
Now starting James Patterson's "1st To Die"...

I finished the Heretic's Daughter yesterday. GREAT book. Very well written. It's actually somewhat historically accurate. The woman who wrote the book is actually descendant of the people who the book is mostly about. It's mostly about the lead up to the Salem Witch Trials and focuses on this one family's trials and the effects on their family. It's a damn good read.

Did you ever finish this book? I read Relic and Reliquary and enjoyed them both.
Right now I'm reading Ghosts of Belfast by Stewart Neville. It's kind of Supernatural and kind of a war story all rolled into one, all while taking place in Ireland. I'll let you know how it turns out.
