Thread: Weekly Pick-Um Football Pool

Are we going to have another weekly football pool this year? I think we should.

Also, of course this is up to Tned, but I feel if the monthly cost of the expenses for BF are not covered each month, there should be no weekly reward for the winner, as Tned provided last football season.

No, I will personally provide the pickem prizes. However, I want have time to run it, so like in past years, we will need someone to run it and track the standings.

I aint care about no prizes...as long as I can brag about how I finished (2nd place last year, and 3rd place the year before)

Well having run the playoff pickem pool last year, it's a bitch to do. I wouldn't blame fcspikeit for not doing it this year for the regular season.

But if anyone wants to give it a shot I can forward you an email he sent me with directions of how to run it and a link to the spreadsheet template.

As regular season is approaching, do we have a volunteer who would be willing to run the pickem pool?

This is completely different, but I am running a pick-'em league that anyone is invited to join. It is not free however. Entry fee is $36 total, which is essentially $2 per week of the season, plus $2 for an end-of-season prize. We are shooting for a weekly prize of $100 for the winner each week depending on how many sign up.

If anyone is interested PM me and I will e-mail you an invite.

we could use the 'Pick-em' game online. I can't remember the name of the site from here, but I remember we used it last season. That way the computer/site keeps track as to when the entries were put in, and adds everything up for us.

I have wondered where FC has been. The pick 'em league here was his baby. Hope he's doing well.

If he doesn't show up, I'm sure I could run it fairly easily if the community wants to do it again. Just let me know.

I definitely would like to have it again, and thanks for volunteering . I think Reidman was the first to run it, so if fc is not available, Reidman may still have what was used, which he could send you, so you don't have to start from scratch. And yes, hope fc is ok.

BTB says he's got the goods, so I'll steal it from him if nothing else.

Gonna need to buy a 10 key pad and mouse. Data entry on my laptop sucks! (i.e. I will use this as an excuse to buy stuff I've wanted for a while. )
