Default Klis: Jacob Hester More Likely to Sign than Steve Slaton

Per Mike Klis on 102.3 he thinks the Broncos are likely to sign Hester next week depending on how things go in KC. He said he doesn't think they will sign Slaton.

I think they should sign Hester and cut Gronk. Hester has more value as a short yardage runner, receiver, and special teams player.
Gronk, IMO, is the most useless roster spot currently on this team.

I really like Hester in college and coming into the NFL. I had always hoped he'd land in Denver. He usually does on Madden.

Yeah, he's not fast. But he's got the McGahee frame, and can knock out a tough 4-6 yards. Which I think is the biggest need in McGahee's absence.

Klis talked about McGahee being most effective against nickel defenses because 6-7 guys in the box had a tough time bringing him down. We need a bigger back to run downhill.

Without googling (rational), what position is Gronk?

Especially considering Tamme and Dressen can do anything he can.

You believe? How are you going to say he is the most useless roster spot on the team if you don't know for certain what position he plays?

That would be the reason, he was a FB on one team he was on and TE on another, so I'm not sure exactly what position the Denver Broncos list him as....he only sees the field on special teams, something that Hester has always excelled at.

Can you tell me one offensive play that he's been in on?
How many special teams plays has he made?
He seems like a cool guy, he even bought Bronco Zubaz for all the fellas, but I think Hester would have more production on this team and would create a better niche.

    For what it's worth:

as it should be. hester is objectively better than slaton. in regards to what the broncos lost in mcgahee and what we need to try to replace, he's miles better.
