I think we're stuck in this word "agenda". It doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. And the post that kicked this whole thing off was me calling the feminist agenda in TLJ "a little heavy handed" and what I mean by that is that there was no subtlety or nuance to it at all. Like I said, if the movie would have been better I wouldn't care. Hell, I'm one of like 9 people on the anet who actually liked the new Ghostbusters movie and praised it on this very website several times. It entertained me and made me laugh.

Fell asleep after the first sentence. Should’ve led with the cocktail waitress banging.

So you woke up, finished the sentence, and then replied.

    You clearly loved it.

Yeah, the heavy handed part. I think you nailed it. I get that Mad Max had a similar 'let's flip the patriarch's table' motif. But it wasn't heavy handed.

If there's an agenda with strong women doing strong women shit, then writing strong women doing shit would have to always be an agenda.

    That's weird to me.

The agenda is in making almost every strong character a woman and making all the men subservient to them in every situation. Like I keep saying, go ahead and do that just make the film watchable, they forgot that part in TLJ.
