Not surprised. It’s a darker movie that’s devisive and about 20 minutes too long. It’s still gonna make bank, but it’s not as box office friendly as The Force Awakens.

The trend on the other two triologies is the exact same at the box office.

Yup, middle movie always underperforms. I think that is the biggest percentage drop in the second week for any of the movies though. I’m sure Disney is wiping their tears with cash!

We thought the movie was really good. I don't get the meltdowns. It looks like Star Wars will live on, and there will be future movies.

You’re both right. It was originally released as “Léon the Professional” in Europe and just “The Professional” in the US. Now they just use the European title. It will always just be “The Professional” to me.

Well no better time to become a start wars nerd! I've been watching the original 3 today. I'm on empire strikes back. I haven't seen these since I was a kid so it's like seeing them for the first time. Good shit! I get the love affair with them.

My oldest son liked it, and my youngest son didn't. He said the part that really aggravated him was when Leia was dead in space, came alive, and floated back to the ship like Mary ******* Poppins. I LoL'd at him.

Save us the trouble of her pointless storyline.
Her part helped to set the feeling of being up against the ropes that the rebels were feeling, how completely desperate the situation was.

They had just attempted a masterful plan to escape...and for the first time in the movies, it completely failed.

They were on the precipice of being completely annihilated and it added an element of the lengths they would go to save the cause.
