They could link it in to any time period. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they go to something of the time period they have for their Online star wars universe... and thats hundreds of years before the first movie. So you could have the wars between the Sith.

If you ever get a chance, check out this article series about a guy showing them to his son the first time. He showed them in a great order. He starts with IV and V to give them the big "I am your father" reveal, then does I-III for the backstory, then finishes with VI. Great way to introduce the series to kids. Reading about the reactions of the kids is great.

Thanks for pointlessly interjecting your fattiness into a conversation between Rav and I... I understood what he was saying. But I am saying that being younger might have something to do with not liking them as much as his generation.

Well, I know Lucas said that Revenge of the Sith essentially ended the Skywalker Story. Episode VII as originally conceived was panned out in the Thrawn Trilogy in the early 90's as a series of three novels. Considering the principle cast is past the age of the characters in the books (the books would have been 5-10 years after the events of Return of the Jedi) I imagine they are going to follow alternate timelines like the Old Republic or post Luke New Jedi Order.

How exactly do I interject my "fattiness" through the internet? Now you're just being mean.

I'm going to create a troll named Buff in my next D&D session just so I can put a slavery spell on it and make it eat horse shit before I kill it with my level 80 battle axe.

I am thrilled about this. I love all six of the Star Wars movies (part V and III being my favorites) so this is excellent news. It will be interesting to see how other filmmakers approach the stories. Disney did great with Marvel, and this could be just as good if not better.
OMG, isn't this the studio that brought us John Carter?

In all seriousness I didn't think Carter was as bad as many said. Not great, but I enjoyed it. I didn't realize that Disney has been behind the Marvel movies. Those have been pretty good.

    I would rank them...

    1. Empire Strikes Back (Love it!)

    2. New Hope (Classic)

    3. Revenge of the Sith (Truly Dark)

    4. Return of the Jedi (Not a huge fan of Ewoks)

    5. Attack of the clones (Ok-Ok. Little of cheesy)

    6. The Phantom Menace (Dislike this film)

Just realized the next movie won't have the 20th Century FOX intro. Gonna miss that...
