    Default Decker+Thomas=LOCKER ROOM CANCER

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...r-celebration/

Thomas scored a touchdown in the third quarter and tossed the ball to Decker, who stood under the goal post and was about to toss the ball back up in the air, where Thomas could grab it for an alley-oop dunk over the crossbar. But it’s a 15-yard penalty in the NFL for players to engage in coordinated touchdown celebrations, so when Stokley realized what Decker and Thomas were about to do, he ran behind Decker and stole the ball from him, cutting their celebration short.
Can you believe this? They were about to engage in a coordinated celebration and cost this TEAM fifteen yards for their own selfish purposes and give Darren Sproles the chance to run the football back to shift momentum. If not for the leadership of Stokely we could have lost that game because of these fifteen yards. The front office needs to send a message to Thomas and Decker by suspending both of them for conduct detrimental to the team, sheer locker room cancers worse than Brandon Marshall ever was.

Soon these two receivers will be teaming up not for group celebrations but also to undermine Peyton Manning and Coach John Fox. Tebow would never have allowed his receivers to take the football team away from him; Tebow knew this was coming and to stop it he made his footballs impossible to catch in order to keep these two locker room malcontents in check. Manning could learn a thing or two from Tebow.

...Joking aside, I'm glad Stokely is keeping these receivers humble in their new found success under Manning. Would have been a pretty awesome celebration though.

He didn't just do it under Manning, he did the same thing under Orton, as well (Keeping Marshall from putting on the glove for the black/white unity after Obama was elected).

Stokely should be offered a coaching position immediately upon retiring. Him and Rod Smith together could form the best receiving corps in the NFL

    Love this Stokely kid
“He’s doing great on his own,” Stokley said of Marshall. “Now, I’ve got these other two knuckleheads I’ve got to mold. These kids, nowadays. You’ve got to put them in timeout.”

immaure and undisciplined, I have said it many times about this team, not just these two. spikes in the middle of the field holding the ball aloft BEFORE they cross the goal line, this crap will bite us in the ass and its dissapointing that playmakers lack maturity, professionalism and a basic understanding of

I completely agree and I know I've mentioned discipline being the one thing that will hold this team back. When that crap happens, I have a tendency to get liberal with my "coaching, coaching, coaching" posts. It seems to me there is no recourse for undisciplined action on this team and it will eventually hurt us somewhere along the line.

No recourse? What do you guys expect to see as "recourse?" How do you know there is no recourse? You expect to see an ass chewing on the field because of a fumble??? Thats pretty bush. Would you expect the same ass chewing at Manning for an INT? Celebration can't be taken out of the game,a nd I don't think you want to. These guys need to be having fun on the field, for when you are having fun, believe me, you TRY harder. You can't make them into robots.

You're right. They should be able to do whatever they want to, regardless of their actions. My bad.

Prater would have still boomer it out of bounds from an additional 15 yards.

yeah.. thats what I said. Because their "actions" have been so horrible. You avoided the question by giving a smart-alic response. WHAT recourse would you think you should SEE for something like "almost" making a TD celebration? What other recourse would you like to see for all the actions that you see on the field?? I mean, you obviously have something in mind that you would like to "see"... what is it? Or would you rather just say "we should see some".. but not have any specific answers?

Fair enough. I guess I look at the Giants and how long of a leash those players have under Coughlin when they make mental errors on a regular basis. You think he'd hesitate to get in McGahee or DT's ass for the frequent fumbling issues? How about how much of the mental errors in jusgement happen on the field during a Patriots game? Both are annually top 10 in least penalties and NYG is always amongst the leaders in turnover ratio. There is probably a good reason for that. DISCIPLINE.

My point is if you dont nip it in the bud before it happens...something needs to be said or done afterward. The teams whose players dont consider much more than a salsa dance after a TD happen to be the same ones winning titles.

but what recourse do you expect to SEE. I mean, how do you know whats going on at practice, in film room, or behind the doors. What is it you want to SEE? Simply less fumbles? Barber fumbled for years, and was fumbling AS Coughlin was working with him, but.... didn't bench him. So what 'recourse' did Coughlin show?

I'm confused as to your wording, I guess. You think there is no coaching going on. I guess you don't think anyone is talking to the players, the team, the coaches about the turnovers? I mean, do you REALLY believe that or are you just saying that because we've had them?
