What about costs Comcast is billing me for stations I DO NOT/WILL NOT watch????
from article:
full article - https://milehighsports.com/as-altitu...at-leave-fans/Comcast also gave a statement to Singer of the Denver Post:
“We want to reach an agreement with Altitude, but it must be at a reasonable price for our customers,” Comcast’s statement to the Denver Post stated. “Altitude has demanded significant annual price increases for the same content for years, which has driven up costs for all of our customers in Colorado and Utah, even though most of them do not watch the channel. Over the past year, more than 95% of Altitude subscribers watched less than the equivalent of a game per week. The price increase Altitude is again demanding is unacceptable given the network’s low viewership. We have submitted a proposal to Altitude that we believe reflects the value of its programming and are hopeful Altitude will accept it so we can continue to carry the network for those customers who want to watch it.”

I live out of market and pay for NHL Center Ice through NHL.com and use that app on Roku, so I have nothing to worry about. Sucks for all of those affected by it though.

Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen: “It’s no shock that I’m still in Finland”

From article - sounds good:
Nathan MacKinnon ($6.3 million) is Colorado’s highest-paid player, but on July 1 Avs general manager Joe Sakic confirmed that Rantanen is bound to overtake MacKinnon based on the different market than when MacKinnon signed his seven-year, $44.1 million deal in 2016.

Mitch Marner's contract is done which sets the stage for the other big RFA's (including Mikko Rantanen). Since Marner and Rantanen are eminently comparable, it's likely their contracts are the same and the deal is likely nearing completion.
That's the good news... the bad news is that Marner's contract is..well, big. He'll be making about almost 4 million more per year than Nathan MacKinnon. Ouch.
So is there anyway to watch the Avs game since Comcast has not resolved anything? I was reading the DP article and then got the you have to buy us and can't read anymore. Thanks
Getting Stoked
The Denver post is terrible at covering avalanche, and the fact that they have that "information" behind a paywall is embarrassing. Basically it's a list of small providers that serve the less populated regions in colorado and some surrounding states. Basically if you are in/near denver, nothing on that list is useful to you.
There are ways to watch though, I thought I REDD about IT on the internet somewhere... Something about people sharing links to broadcast streams...
I Redd about IT as well. That is how I am watching Broncos games now since I moved east.
From that list, this is in the Denver Metro area. It appears to be a replacement for Comcast, Dish and Direct TV:
