Well dang I was worried when he wasn't in the 2nd or 3rd. Well a lot happens at this time so we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out. Regardless they did go from last to first like UR said and have made the playoffs. Things are going so much better than I would have ever dreamed a year ago...

Default Avs captain Gabe Landeskog greets arrivals to DIA in time for playoffs

As one of the best teams in Colorado Avalanche history prepares for this first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, captain Gabe Landeskog is now greeting arrivals to Denver International Airport.

Landeskog lent his voice to the arrival trains to the DIA terminal, airport staff announced Monday.

On Sunday, the Avalanche clinched the Central Division championship and was locked into a first-round playoff series with the Minnesota Wild; that series begins Thursday at the Pepsi Center.

Default Why the Avalanche will win the Stanley Cup

I sure hope this guy is right
Patrick Roy’s incredible resume as a Hall of Fame hockey player includes twice leading an NHL team on an unexpected run to capture the Stanley Cup and twice helping the Colorado Avalanche to win the NHL's coveted championship trophy.

Roy is in his first season as a coach at the NHL level, but he's accumulated lots of playoff experience in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. With the help of a talented collection of forwards and one of the best young goaltenders in the League, Roy is in position to lead the Avalanche to a third Cup victory in franchise history.

Like the Montreal Canadiens teams in 1986 and 1993, which featured Roy in net, the Avalanche will need their goaltender to lead the way. Semyon Varlamov was a potential star while playing for the Washington Capitals, but he had a breakout season in 2013-14 under the tutelage of Roy and goaltending coach Francois Allaire.
