Had a little scare there for a minute...but so glad they played strong and on to MN....go get them guys!!!!

Holding a 2-0 first-round series lead over Minnesota, the Avalanche didn't practice Sunday before convening at a private air terminal near Denver International Airport to catch a flight to the Twin Cities area.

Among the traveling party were forwards Matt Duchene and John Mitchell, neither of whom played in the first two games, and Avalanche coach Patrick Roy indicated Duchene "probably" would start skating on Monday.

"That will be his first time on the ice, and we'll see how it goes," Roy said of Duchene, who suffered a medial collateral ligament injury March 29 against the San Jose Sharks and hasn't played since.

Come to Pepsi Center and watch the Avalanche's road games of the Western Conference First Round against the Minnesota Wild. Watch Monday's Game 3 and Thursday's Game 4 on Denver's largest television, the Pepsi Center video scoreboard.

Admission to both watch parties is free, but tickets are required to enter the building. The free tickets can be acquired HERE. There will also be free parking and 25 percent off concessions at the party.

Monday's Game 3 begins at 5 p.m. MT while Thursday's Game 4 has a 7:30 p.m. MT start. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each event.

I shouldn't watch this, hockey is such an awesome sport but I do not have the time to throw myself into another sport.

I used to skip my little league games when the Avs were deep in the playoffs back in the day.

Haven't been impressed with Parenteau this series. He seems like he's a step slow.

Also annoying is how the Wild have knocked out 3 Avs players with 3 separate cheap shots tonight.

The Pepsi Center is broadcasting the game there tonight on the big screens. Might have to check one of those out.

I was at the Rockies game during Game 4 of the 96 finals. They were showing it during half innings and played the 3rd period and OTs after the game.
