Extremely unlikely. We won the Presidents cup last year (all pres cup curse aside) Vegas had the exact same amount of points as us. Meaning they could have won it too, but we won on a tie breaker. So we lost to the best team in the NHL last year.
Nashville is not. Their last 20 games have all been 1pt games or OT. They have not won clean in like 18 games. Also, they lost their star goalie for at least 1 more game, my guess is he is out the whole series. They said 4 to 6 weeks about 1 week ago. So they could try to rush him, but if we keep the slaughter on they may just let him heal.
IMO Minnesota is the only team in the west (I personally fear Edmonton but we always beat them) that can stand in our way. Fluerry just has our number. I hate him. Hes not even that good anymore. So if STL can do their job, we should be fine all the way to the finals. Leafs? Panthers? Bolts? Caps? Obvs has to be one of them, but theyre all great! Ill take the Rangers on the other side. Most likely imo is the 20 year old rematch of Avs and Panthers. Only this time they won the Presidents cup.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
And to your point I think everyone could see how not into it we were. We could see that the guys were just playing safe and smart as this is the first time in 3 seasons, since BEFORE Covid that we have gone into the playoffs healthy. That is/was by far the most important aspect. Now with chips on the table they obviously turned it up. We were the team that was crushing the league in wins and goals before we lost our entire team to injury throughout the year. Plus, and it has been mentioned, the guys are pissed. They kept talking about last year and how it still burns in them. There was no way we were not going to come out hard!

The Avs and Nuggets have been shown locally this season for those who have Direct TV . During the season when the Nuggets were either on TNT or ESPN, we could see it here, but could not if they were on the NBA network. The Avs have been on either TNT or ESPN for the playoffs now.

Didnt get to watch last nights game, but looking at the stats and reading the reports, it should have been a blowout early. Lots of pipes, and from the highlights I watched the avs looked faster and much more crisp.
